AMTRAK: BREAK THE TRAVEL QUO
What if there was an airline with no middle seats, no baggage fees, no airplane mode and free Wi-Fi? Well, there isn’t. But that didn’t stop us from dangling that carrot, piquing the interest of weary travelers and shaking them out of their blind acceptance of travel’s indignities. Amtrak’s new “Break The Travel Quo” campaign reminds people that the rails are still the better way to travel. And not only is the campaign breaking the quo, it’s also breaking all benchmarks; the teaser videos garnered over 11 million views in just 48 hours, with completion rates 56% above YouTube’s benchmark and click-through rates 50% above benchmark. You can read more about it in Business Insider, Adweek, and Ad Age, who also took note of the campaign.
